Hike Description:
Enjoy a guided 5.5km-6.5km(3hr) hike a top the Niagara Escarpment that will take you through a peaceful mature, mainly deciduous forest past several 80-100 year old Sugar Maple trees on route into and out of the majestic Singhampton Caves. The caves are open to the sky for those uneasy with tight spaces. Beyond discovering the main caves this trail offers a lookout over the Pretty River Valley and distant Georgian Bay and many smaller crevices to explore.
Your guide will work with you to customize your return route based on your interests, some routes offering more beautiful lookouts, others more cave and crevice exploration opportunities.
What to bring:
Water, snack, closed toe shoes, clothing appropriate for the weather.
Nottawasaga Bluffs Caves tour VS. the Singhampton Caves tour:
If you are considering which caves tour to book; the Singhampton caves are all open, have taller walls making them more grandeur. The Nottawasaga Bluffs main caves are less numerous, but side caves offer more closed/underground discovery options and a larger lookout point.
