Explore the rich layers of human stories along the bank of the Michipicoten and Magpie Rivers. We will discover the ancient history of the First People, pinpoint the locations of fur trade posts, and walk in the footsteps of the voyageurs, logger, artists and miners who are a unique part of Wawa’s history today. Our 1.5 kilometre walk will take us to 3 waterfalls, hidden vistas and include a perfect picnic spot where a member of the Group of Seven painted.
Follow directions to Silver Falls outside of Michipicoten River Village on the way to Rock Island Lodge/Naturally Superior Adventures, Sandy Beach and Michipicoten Harbour. Michipicoten River Village is 7 km south of the Wawa Goose on off Trans-Canada Hwy 17.
