Pembina Highway & Chancellor Matheson Road

Tour Introduction. There are two types of points of interest on the tour: driving (D) & walking (W). Driving = we'll talk as you drive past. Walking = get out and explore (can still be accessed from the car if the weather is poor).

(D) You'll drive right past the home of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers! We'll tell you all about it and point out some other sports fields.

(D) We'll point out the home arena of the U of M Bisons!

St. Paul's College

(D) We'll tell you about St. Paul & St. John's colleges on the university campus.

Wallace Building

(D) You'll pass by the Wallace & Duff Roblin Buildings as well as Chancellor's Hall.

Pembina Hall Residence

(D) We'll point out the beautiful new building and the stunning view it has of the Red River!

Tier Building

(D) See the wonderful turn of the century building with it's Canada flag flying high.

University of Manitoba Administration Building

(D) As you drive around the central point of the university, you'll see a number of original campus buildings that give you a glimpse into student life over 100 years ago!

Kings Park

(W). The first spot to get out and explore. Three points of interest await as you take a stroll through the beautiful urban park. Discover a Chinese Pagoda, waterfall & labyrinth. All walking points of interest include a fun trivia question as well!

Patricia Avenue & Kilkenny Drive

(D) As you drive, we'll tell you about the neighbourhood. We'll also tell you about some fun Blue Bomber facts.

Cloutier Drive

(D) Bridge Mural. You'll pass under a bridge with an incredible piece of art painted on the side. We won't spoil the surprise here, but we'll tell you all about what it depicts!

(D) Red River Cart. Learn about this homesteader tool and how it helped develop the west.

St. Norbert

(D) You'll skirt around St. Norbert (you'll see it all later in the tour) and learn a bit about it's history.

Southwood Golf & Country Club

(D) You'll drive right past a few holes of this Winnipeg gem. While you do, we'll tell you a bit about it's history and how it once was a hunt club.

Trappist Monastery

(W). Your second opportunity to get out and explore! There are 9 points of interest to explore on foot at the incredible monastery ruins. As you stroll about the Provincial Heritage Property, you'll learn all about the Trappist monks and their way of life.

St Norbert Arts Centre

(W) Located on the Trappist Monastery site, the SNAC is a beacon for artists from all walks of life.

Camp Amisk - Scouts Canada

(D) We'll point out the tower from the Scouts Canada obstacle, as well as tell you all about the Z Dike you'll drive over.

Lord Selkirk Highway

(D) Flood of the Century. A boat would have been your preferred method of travel if you were here during the great flood! We'll tell you all about it.

Red River Co-op Speedway

(D) We'll point out the speedway in the distance and explain why you may hear race cars over our tour guide's voice!

Red River Drive

(D) Enjoy this nice prairie drive beside the Red River while we point out a historic church and a giant voyageur statue!

Courchaine Road

(D) We'll take you over the floodway known to local's as Duff's Ditch and to a brand new lookout were you'll experience a view of the Red River you won't forget!

St. Norbert Provincial Heritage Park

(W) Another chance to get out and discover the past. 10 points of interest throughout this Provincial Heritage Park bring you back to a time of rapid expansion, revolution & back breaking hard work.

Duration: 30 minutes

Pollock Island

(D) We'll point out this island and tell you about it's past.

Duration: 2 minutes

St. Norbert Catholic Church

(P) We'll direct you to park right in front of the church while we take out on a journey of the four pillars. We'll point out the church itself, a statue of Louis Riel & Father Joseph-Noel Ritchot, a serene park and open air church.

Duration: 5 minutes

Place Saint-Norbert

(W) You'll explore the final couple stops on foot, including another small heritage property with some turn of the century homes to discover!

Duration: 15 minutes

Le Marché St Norbert Farmers Market

(W) If you didn't take the tour when the farmers market is open, you'll want to come back when it is after we tell you about it!

Duration: 2 minutes

Southbound St Pierre at Du Couvent

(W) Aisle Ritchot. The last stop on the tour ends with a bang. And by a bang, we mean a super nice view of an incredible old building!

Not a point of interest on the tour, but it's nearby and you can spend as much time here as you like.
