THE SIGHTS OF SOUTH WINNIPEG: Tour ends at the St.Norbert Farmers Market / Place St. Norbert parking lot.
Tour Introduction. There are two types of points of interest on the tour: driving (D) & walking (W). Driving = we'll talk as you drive past. Walking = get out and explore (can still be accessed from the car if the weather is poor).

(D) You'll drive right past the home of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers! We'll tell you all about it and point out some other sports fields.

(D) We'll point out the home arena of the U of M Bisons!

(D) We'll tell you about St. Paul & St. John's colleges on the university campus.

(D) You'll pass by the Wallace & Duff Roblin Buildings as well as Chancellor's Hall.

(D) We'll point out the beautiful new building and the stunning view it has of the Red River!

(D) As you drive around the central point of the university, you'll see a number of original campus buildings that give you a glimpse into student life over 100 years ago!

(W). The first spot to get out and explore. Three points of interest await as you take a stroll through the beautiful urban park. Discover a Chinese Pagoda, waterfall & labyrinth. All walking points of interest include a fun trivia question as well!

(D) As you drive, we'll tell you about the neighbourhood. We'll also tell you about some fun Blue Bomber facts.

(D) You'll skirt around St. Norbert (you'll see it all later in the tour) and learn a bit about it's history.

(D) You'll drive right past a few holes of this Winnipeg gem. While you do, we'll tell you a bit about it's history and how it once was a hunt club.

(W). Your second opportunity to get out and explore! There are 9 points of interest to explore on foot at the incredible monastery ruins. As you stroll about the Provincial Heritage Property, you'll learn all about the Trappist monks and their way of life.

(W) Located on the Trappist Monastery site, the SNAC is a beacon for artists from all walks of life.

(D) Northern Tall Grasslands. Now that you're out of the city, you'll take in the idyllic prairie views while we tell you a bit about the eco-region we call home.

(D) We'll take you into the beautiful park and tell you all about it. Although there are no additional points of interest here, you may still want to get out and explore!

(D) We'll point out the tower from the Scouts Canada obstacle, as well as tell you all about the Z Dike you'll drive over.

(D) Flood of the Century. A boat would have been your preferred method of travel if you were here during the great flood! We'll tell you all about it.

(D) We'll point out the speedway in the distance and explain why you may hear race cars over our tour guide's voice!

(D) Enjoy this nice prairie drive beside the Red River while we point out a historic church and a giant voyageur statue!

(D) We'll take you over the floodway known to local's as Duff's Ditch and to a brand new lookout were you'll experience a view of the Red River you won't forget!

(W) Another chance to get out and discover the past. 10 points of interest throughout this Provincial Heritage Park bring you back to a time of rapid expansion, revolution & back breaking hard work.

(D) We'll point out this island and tell you about it's past.

(P) We'll direct you to park right in front of the church while we take out on a journey of the four pillars. We'll point out the church itself, a statue of Louis Riel & Father Joseph-Noel Ritchot, a serene park and open air church.

(W) You'll explore the final couple stops on foot, including another small heritage property with some turn of the century homes to discover!

(W) If you didn't take the tour when the farmers market is open, you'll want to come back when it is after we tell you about it!
