The spine of the tour. Downtown Kingston's main retail street, lined with 19th-century limestone shopfronts, and known as Store Street until it was renamed in 1842. Three of our stops sit on or a few steps off it.

Martello Alley

A narrow art alley off Princess Street, hung with work by local artists around a small courtyard. We pass the entrance on the walk down toward the water.

Kingston Public Market

Behind City Hall, the oldest continuously running public market in Ontario, trading Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. We walk through the square, and on market days guests see the producers supplying kitchens on this route.

Kingston City Hall

A National Historic Site dating to 1844, and one of the most photographed buildings in the city. It faces the harbour a block from our final stop.

Confederation Park

Across from City Hall, with the visitor centre, the Engine 1095 locomotive and views over the marina. Where the tour ends.

The working harbour at the foot of Princess Street. Shoal Tower is one of four Martello towers built by the British between 1810 and 1847, and it sits offshore from where we finish.
