Moraine Lake
Moraine Lake is arguably the crown jewel of the Canadian Rockies. Located roughly 14 kilometers (8.7 miles) up Moraine Lake Road off the Great Divide Highway, this glacially-fed lake sits in the breathtaking Valley of the Ten Peaks at an elevation of 1,884 meters (6,181 feet).
Because it is deeper and has a slightly different concentration of rock flour than its neighbor Lake Louise, its water often shows an even more intense, electric shade of turquoise.
