Located 15 minutes east of Banff is Lake Minnewanka, the largest and deepest glacial lake in Banff National Park, reaching a depth of 142 meters. Its name comes from the Indian Stoney family, which means "water spirit.” This stunning aqua blue lake is surrounded by beautiful mountain peaks and unique rocks by the shoreline.

Johnston Canyon

Banff National Park's most popular hiking destination takes you into the Johnston canyon and amongst spectacular waterfalls.
