Takakkaw Falls
Takakkaw Falls is one of the most stunning waterfalls in Canada, located in Yoho National Park, which is in British Columbia’s Canadian Rockies. The falls have a total height of 373 meters (1,224 feet), making them one of the tallest waterfalls in the country. The name "Takakkaw" comes from a Cree word meaning "it is magnificent," which is pretty fitting for such an awe-inspiring sight.
The waterfall is fed by the Daly Glacier, and the water cascades down in two main stages, creating a dramatic visual effect. The area around the falls is accessible by a short hike, which makes it a popular spot for both photographers and nature lovers. In the summer, the falls are especially impressive when the snowmelt is at its peak.
