Taste five very different sides of Canada in one Toronto journey.
Begin with Toronto’s famous peameal bacon sandwich and an Ontario butter tart inside historic St. Lawrence Market. Continue with one of Canada’s most familiar everyday traditions—coffee and a snack at Tim Hortons—before entering the Distillery District for a taste of Ontario icewine.
Then walk toward Lake Ontario and finish the experience with a warm BeaverTail pastry on the Toronto waterfront.
Rather than focusing on one market or one style of food, this experience uses five iconic tastes to tell the story of Toronto and Canada—from historic market food and Ontario baking traditions to coffee culture, wine country, and a beloved Canadian dessert.

St. Lawrence Market
Begin your culinary journey at historic St. Lawrence Market, one of Toronto's best-known food destinations. Explore the market with your guide while discovering how food, immigration, trade and local traditions helped shape Toronto. Start with one of the city's signature foods: a peameal bacon sandwich. Learn what makes peameal bacon different from conventional bacon and why the sandwich became so closely associated with St. Lawrence Market. Follow it with a traditional butter tart, one of Ontario's classic sweet treats. Then discover another side of the province with a small Ontario icewine tasting at a participating wine merchant. Learn how Ontario's cold winters make it possible to produce this intensely sweet wine and why Canadian icewine became internationally recognized. Included tastings: Peameal bacon sandwich Butter tart Ontario icewine tasting for guests aged 19+
Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes

Distillery Historic District

Explore the district with your guide and hear the story of its industrial and distilling heritage. Then sit down or stop at the selected partner venue for another Canadian classic: poutine. Taste the famous combination of fries, cheese curds and gravy while learning how a dish that originated in Quebec became one of the foods most strongly associated with Canada. This stop creates a satisfying savory midpoint after the market tastings and gives guests time to relax before continuing toward the waterfront. Included tasting: Canadian poutine

Lake Ontario
