As the smooth limestone walls get steeper and steeper, you’ll come upon a fork in the frozen creek bed. Heading right takes you to a majestic icefall known as the Grotto Canyon Icewalk.
Grassi Lakes is a popular spot for hiking, photography, and wildlife viewing. This lake is known for its vibrant turquoise color. In winter, with snow-covered trees lining the Grassi Lakes hiking trail and dramatic snow-capped mountains all around, the winter scenery can be magical.

Lake Minnewanka
Lake Minnewanka is shaped like a reverse S. It is Banff’s biggest Lake and is the longest and deepest lake in Banff National Park, reaching a depth of 150 meters at its deepest point. You will cross nearly half of the 22-kilometer lake during the one-hour cruise. In the winter, it's a well-liked spot for ice skating, taking pictures, and snowshoeing on the nearby paths.
