Denman Island is a magical place. The Island is full of unique ecosystems, deep history, and an ecological community that has been woven together for thousands of years through the interplay of humans and ecology. Oyster Rock Ecological Tours are educational experiences that celebrate this interplay; deepening connection, introducing complexity, and inviting participants to investigate their place in the ecological world in all its beauty.

Your tours are designed for people with all abilities and knowledge levels. Sadie brings enthusiasm, a wealth of experience, extensive knowledge, and an ability to invite people into challenging topics with a smile.

Come find your place - whether it’s through exploring old growth forests, indigenous food systems, novel eco systems, or diving into ethnobotany through the magical vehicle of collecting wild teas - we hope you will leave feeling nourished, connected, full of nature facts, and a deeper sense of place.
