•Built around 1786, one of the oldest wooden homes in Sydney—basically where the town’s early story still breathes. •Lived in by the Jost family for over a century, showing real everyday life—not staged history. •Inside feels like a time-layered house, from 18th-century kitchen to later Victorian rooms.

•Built in 1787 for Reverend Ranna Cossit, one of the first settlers in Sydney. •A pure Loyalist-era home, showing how early British settlers started from scratch. •Staff in costume bring it alive—feels less like a museum, more like you walked into 1700s life.

•Built during World War II to defend Sydney Harbour from potential attacks. •Features real bunkers, tunnels, and coastal defence guns—not just displays, actual history. •Shows how strategic Sydney was—this quiet town was once on the front line of global war planning.

Low Point Lighthouse
•Guides ships safely into Sydney Harbour, especially through rough Atlantic conditions. •Known for its red-and-white tower, a classic maritime symbol of Cape Breton. •Represents the region’s deep connection to coal shipping and ocean trade.
