The Arctic Duchess is located on the south side of Jolliffe Island and is accessed by a maintained ice road. Just minutes from down town Yellowknife. Please either walk from the snow castle or call a local cab company to get driven directly to our facility.

Brace yourself for a thrilling journey into the Arctic wilderness where you'll experience the exhilaration of a cold plunge followed by the soothing embrace of a traditional Nordic sauna. It's the perfect fusion of icy excitement and cozy relaxation. Our Facility has developed a fiberglass plunge ice insert that creates an enclosed environment for your safety. This insert will include stairs and ladders for guest ingress and egress into the water. We will have multiple heating facilities for guests. Please be advised that our sauna facilities are designed for dry heat and water exposure experiences and do not include shower amenities. We recommend using shower facilities elsewhere if needed. Our cozy change rooms, equipped with warm towels for drying, will ensure you leave our facility feeling rejuvenated and refreshed after your sauna experience.
