Crimes and Red Light of Montreal

On this tour of Montreal’s downtown, we will explore what used to be the Red-Light district. I’m inviting you to revisit the naughty part of our city’s history. We will look into the crimes scene and the sex work of Montreal from the 1920’s to the 1950’s. We will discuss about the impact of the prohibition on our city that led Montreal to be known as the Sin City of the North or the Paris of North America. Among different adult subjects, we will discuss about drug trade, the gambling industry, sex work, brothel activities and the notorious criminals of Montreal. We will also talk about the different morality squads that fought crimes and corruptions and that led to the late closing of the Red-Light district.
